Marjorie Day moved from Toronto to Collingwood, Ontario, in 1986 but has always been inspired to write about this area and wrote poetry about nearby Wasaga Beach years ago, captivated with its natural beauty and mystery.

This historic area of Canada with inland sea, escarpment, endless beaches, scenic farmlands, and resourceful people served to stimulate my imagination, resulting in The Belle of Collingwood.
